Position: Senior Power Electronics Engineer

Experience: 3-10 years

Job Location: Nagpur

Role Responsibilities:

• As a Power Electronics Designer, you will be responsible for all aspects of the design, verification, and validation of the power supply section in the system
  

• Responsibilities include understanding different requirements to develop design specifications, schematic capture, PCB layout, review against design guidelines, PI Analysis, component selection, releasing the Bill of Materials, and relevant documents and test plans
  

• Ensures products conform to standards and specifications. Develops plans and cost estimates and assess projects to analyze risk
  

• Design efforts also involve working with the mechanical team to meet thermal and size constraints
  

Pre-requisites:

• Should have 3+ years of experience in the field of power system design
  

• Should be able to work independently or lead a team of experienced and fresh engineers
  

• Good presentation and communication skills to represent the design teams in various forums
  

• Knowledge of converter topologies, switching methods, and control system, SMPS, ACDC/DCDC, inverters, electric drives, fail-safe protection circuits
  

• Knowledge of implementation of ACDC/DCDC converter using digital and analog controllers
  

• Knowledge of spice simulator (TINA/PSpice) and schematic/layout designing
  

• Optimize design for energy efficiency and various performance strategies using physical modeling or simulation tools
  

• Knowledge of EMI/EMC validation and electrical pre-cert compliance
  

• Knowledge of protocols like I2C, PMBus/SMBus
